Script Generating

The idea comes from a project back in LeeLab@CUIMC when I had to deal with 1000+ MATLAB scripts awaiting submission to the C2B2 HPC.

The solution was to generate those matlab scripts with R, and then use a shell loop for submission.

Then the solution was adapted to the designing of an automation project in CIME@IQVIA. While coded in Python, the gists are similar.

  1. make sure the R script sg_example_code.R and the template template_anyscript.m are in the same directory
  2. execute the R script and toy with different numbers
  3. toy with the template file (change content, add parameters) and execute the R script again to see the difference.
